Halifax, Nova Scotia
Our tour continues with a sparkling harbor of Halifax, founded in 1749, the largest city on Canada’s East Coast. Famous for among other things, as the closest mainland to the sinking of the Titanic. Hundreds of the victims were brought ashore and buried here.
It boasts an ice-free naval military outpost with a prime location, a modern cultural city focused around a lively boardwalk.
Halifax also is the place that receives immigrants from around the world as they arrive in this country. Loyalists to Britain the British crown retreated here after the American Revolution.
The quest for the best lobster roll (sandwich) continues. Halifax has a winner, so far.
A eye-popping visual foliage feast on the Cabot Trail. This is why we came to Canada 🍁!
