Rising from the Dead

On arrival in Amman on Saturday, thick haze in the air created a surreal photo atmosphere. While enjoying a poolside cocktail, we heard bombs in the distance, evidence of our proximity to Israel and the war with Iraq as well as holy biblical sites.

On this Easter Sunday morning, with the story of Jesus Christ rising from the dead in mind, we have renewed hopes for peace. The sun has emerged and the breeze reveals a view of the Dead Sea and the palms and pools surrounding the limestone clad walls of the resort. We embark on our Tauck tour today.

A spacious, sprawling Kempinski Hotel Ishtar resort, on the banks of the Dead Sea. Eager to please us, the service has been incredible and welcoming with fewer guests due to the war. Our every wish has been quickly fulfilled.
