Nile River, Egypt
We are onboard the Nile River boat, treated to a little sail in a traditional Egyptian boat powered by the wind and currents. The Nile is longest river in the world; we never thought we’d be able to float on it and have the famous sites all to ourselves. We are blessed that we were brave enough to come to this part of the world and doubly blessed that the war has prevented visitors from coming here. We are so fortunate and grateful to our dear Ellie Beck, travel agent extraordinaire, and Tauck Tours, our tour guide, the amazing Rickus Visser. More to follow.
The Nile is the longest River in the world, spanning countries.
Who knew that Crocodile’s were a god? But as Gods, they mummified them. Crocs represented evil and the falcon gods stood for good! The proverbial good order evil theme starts here!
Can’t resist a cat hieroglyphic!
Can’t believe they mummified crocodiles! Truth is they are mean sons-of-bitches but now we can sort of understand why they were viewed as gods!
