Linhart PR 30th Anniversary
In January 1996, I had a Rolodex full of business cards, a brand-new Dell desktop computer, and an audacious dream. Thirty years later, I’m celebrating the fulfillment of that dream: a successful and respected communications firm based in Colorado.
Over the decades, we earned national and local PR awards, business accolades, and even the honor of recognition from the venerable Denver Press Club—a testament to the respect of journalists and colleagues I’ve worked with throughout my career.
Our client roster—including Johns Manville, Southwest Airlines, Chipotle, FirstBank, and many more—was the envy of our competitors. More importantly, we remained profitable, carried no debt, and never furloughed employees, even in the darkest times. I championed an open-book management philosophy, attracting the best and brightest professionals in the business.
I’m deeply grateful to my partners Kelly Janhunen, Paul Raab, and Carri Clemens for carrying on the dream—and for still inviting me to the annual holiday luncheon! The young associates are stylish, smart, and fun, yet seriously skilled at serving clients and delivering tangible results.
Beyond the business, I’ve been proud to engage with community and nonprofit organizations—from PRSA to Chambers of Commerce, Junior Achievement, the Boettcher Foundation, and Goodwill Colorado. Giving back to my beloved state, my profession, and my alma mater, the University of Wyoming, has been a hallmark of my career.
Lessons from 30 Years
• Integrity builds reputation. Honesty and transparency are the foundation of trust—for clients, employees, and communities.
• Relationships outlast technology. Even in a digital-first world, people do business with people. Honest communication prevails.
• Awards and clicks don’t pay the bills. Recognition is gratifying, but sustainable success comes from sound business practices.
• Capitalism creates opportunity. It remains the most viable path to eradicate poverty, generate wealth and achieve freedom.
So here’s a toast to the coming decade—and to a prosperous, bright future for Linhart Public Relations.
Cheers, and Happy Anniversary!
