Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada

Blogging my travels has become a habit as a diary and a communication with a few friends and family. When Squarespace, the host of my website goes on the fritz, it is annoying and upsetting, so I hope this a a sign the system has been fixed. In the interim, I’ve posted a few photos on Facebook — a poor secondary way to post.

We’ve arrived in Canada after a rainy, chilly day in Maine and a bright, sunny day in Boston. Blustery but a fun walking “foodie” tour of the city was our introduction to Saint John.

Our tour guide with attitude introduced us to Canadian delicacies such as: a scrumptious pizza with maple syrup, pecans, bacon and goat cheese; deep purple sea weed Dulse; and Beavertails, a crispy artisanal pastry covered in maple glaze.
